MetFood Supermarkets is a growing supermarket chain on Staten Island, and that is why the company contracted with Daggart Construction Corporation to build two new locations. One location is at the corner of Hyland Boulevard and Clove Road, and the other is on Victory Boulevard.
These two projects show just how diverse Daggart can be for the same client. Location number one is a structural steel frame building with a full nine foot deep basement. The basement carries all of the supermarket’s refrigerator units. The supermarket’s office area is located on the second floor and the location has a parking lot area to accommodate 66 vehicles.
When the owner of MetFood Supermarket decided to open a second location they contracted Daggart Construction again to do their project. The second location on Staten Island is similar in size with a full basement, structural steel frame with an architectural synthetic stucco exterior finish. A new parking facility was constructed to accommodate 56 vehicles. This project came in on time and under budget.
